History: The Texas Longhorns baseball team is the winningest in Collegiate D1 history. They dominated the Southwestern Conference for many decades including the 1940s when they captured the crown 7 times. The 1941 Squad was coached by Bibb Falk. Before Coaching the Horns to back-to-back College World Series titles in 1949 & 1950, Falk quietly replaced Shoeless Joe Jackson in left field after the Black Sox scandal for the Chicago White Sox and had a solid 12 year MLB career. The Longhorns of today play their home games at UFCU Disch-Falk Field named after former coaches Billy Disch and the aforementioned Bibb Falk.
