History: The 1964 Northern Division Champion Ducks of the AAWU (Athletic Association of Western Universities) were led by All-Coast outfielder H.D. Murphy. He led the team in hits, RBI’s, triples and his batting average of .364 remains the highest in Ducks history. While he excelled on the diamond, he’s best known for a last second game winning touchdown catch vs. Indiana in 1963. He’d go on to be drafted by the Dallas Cowboys along with teammate and future NFL Hall of Famer, Mel Renfro. The Oregon Ducks are currently members of the Pac-12 Conference and play their home games at PK Park in Eugene, Oregon.
