History: Substituting heavy hitting for spectacular pitching, the 1969 Terp team finished second in the Atlantic Coast Conference, compiling an overall record of 19-6. Phil Corddry was the team ace striking out 90 men in 70 innings along with a 2.06 E.R.A. while winning 7 of 10 decisions. The Terps baseball team of today play their home games in Shipley Field at Bob “Turtle” Smith Stadium, College Park, Maryland.
