League: Pacific Coast League
History: The PCL was an “outlaw” (independent) league its first season. It competed with the Class A Pacific National League. Teams played over 210 games, and the league champion Los Angeles Looloos ran way with the title, besting second place Sacramento by a whopping 27.5 games. Former major league pitcher Doc Newton won an incredible 35 games in 1903, pitching for Portland and Los Angeles. This is an 8-panel cap.
