History: On April 15, 1947, Jackie Robinson stepped onto Ebbets Field for his first game with the Brooklyn Dodgers, breaking the MLB “color line.” Jackie’s example of character, dignity, and toughness continues to inspire us today.
This t-shirt, originally released at our recent pop-up shop in Seattle, features work from Alexander Codd’s “Abloom” series commemorating the Negro Leagues and some of the greats from Black baseball history. The series includes paintings made using spray paint and stencils and features Jackie Robinson, Josh Gibson, Roberto Clemente, and Satchel Paige.
A portion of the proceeds of each t-shirt sold will go to the Jackie Robinson Estate.
