League: Collegiate Baseball
History: The Brooklyn College Kingsmen (today they are the “Bulldogs”) were members of the Metropolitan Collegiate Baseball Conference and played the majority of their games at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx, NY.
Rivals in the conference included Manhattan College, CCNY, NYU, Hofstra and St. John’s. Famous alumni who went on to play Major League baseball include New York Yankees All-Star pitcher Marius Russo and fellow hurler “Subway Sam” Nahem, who played for the Brooklyn Dodgers directly after graduation.
