History: The Boston College Eagles football team finished their 1963 season with a record of 6-3. They were led by quarterback Jack Concannon who would go on to become the first player chosen in the AFL Draft of 1964 by the Boston Patriots. In addition to a 1940 National Championship, BC football is best known for the infamous “Hail Mary” pass from Doug Flutie to Gerard Phelan which resulted in a stunning last play victory over the Miami Hurricanes in 1984. Flutie would go on to win the Heisman Trophy the following week. The Boston College Eagles Football team are currently members of the ACC (Atlantic Coast Conference) Atlantic division and play their home games at Alumni Stadium, Chestnit Hill, Massachusetts.
