League: New York-Penn League
History: The Triplets took their name from “The Triple Cities” of Binghamton, Endicott, and Johnson City, in upstate New York, representing the area since 1923. The ‘65 season marked the club’s first Major League affiliation, as the Class A affiliate of the New York Yankees, and the Triplets took home the ‘65 NY-Penn League championship that year behind infielder Jerry Kenney, who finished the year with a .312 batting average and 22 stolen bases.
