History: Covington, KY was added to the roster of Federal League clubs in 1913, despite it having a population of only 55,000 and being only five miles across the river from the home of the Cincinnati Reds. A new park was hastily built for the Blue Sox, with possibly the smallest dimensions of any professional field: Only 194 feet down the right field line and 267 feet to dead center. Ultimately the team was unable to compete financially and was moved to Kansas City in July, where they became the Packers.
