League: Pacific Coast League
History: Even though they finished fourth in the PCL’s East Division, the Dukes had three players lead the league in offensive categories, with Danny Walton winning the home run, RBI, and hits categories. Don Cardoza hit .356, and Henry Cruz had 174 hits. Walton was a legendary slugger in the minor leagues, but never replicated his success in the Majors, playing for eight different clubs (including the Seattle Pilots, their one year of existence).
