History: The ’56 Spudders were affiliated with the Brooklyn Dodgers. Player-manager Danny Ozark led the league in home runs. Ozark was promoted through the Dodgers’ system, but never played at the major league level. He did, however, become a successful manager for the Philadelphia Phillies and San Francisco Giants, compiling a 618-542 record as a manager.
